The solar system is a collection of celestial bodies that have a center with a high gravity so that they can attract surrounding objects called stars ad object around them called planets. We have 1 star in our solar system, that star is called Sun. In this solar system we have 8 planets, these planets are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.
We have 2 kinds of planets in this solar system, the first one is a Terrestrial planet, a Terrestrial planet is a planet that has a solid surfaces and its contents are mostly rocks. The second one is the Jovian planet, the Jovian planet is a lanet that has no surface and its contents are mostly gas.
There are 3 stages of asteroids in the Solar system, the first is the asteroid belt, the second is Kuiper belt, the third is the Oort cloud.
The asteroid belt is an asteroid that seperates the Terrestrial planets and Jovian planets. The asteroid belt lies between Mars and Jupiter.
Kuiper belt is a collection of asteroids and ice that lies outside of Neptune and has a lot more asteroids that the asteroid belt. Kuiper belt is usually called the Trans Neptune.
The sun has very strong gravity so that it can form an area called the Oort cloud. Oort cloud is so far away that it took 30000 years at a speed of 71,000 km/h to get out of the Oort cloud. Oort cloud contains several dwarf planets and 8 billion asteroids outside the Kuiper belt. Far from the sun to the end of the Oort cloud is equal to the distance from the sun to Pluto multiplied by 1000.
99.86% by mass of the Solar system is the mass of the Sun. While the 0.14% are planets, dwarf planets, comets, asteroids, and gas around the solar system.
With these 8 planets, our Solar system is perfectly balanced by the gravity of each planet. So if one planet is removed from the Solar system, that balance will be destroyed and will make all the planets swallowed up into the sun.
